We have prospered in our community and state and as a result have a strong commitment to return a portion of that prosperity back to our community and state. As a firm, we make significant financial contributions to a large number of charitable and educational organizations each year.
A commitment to community service is also deeply ingrained in the firm's culture. Over the years, the firm's management has modeled an ethic of community service through their own strong leadership in a wide variety of community organizations. Today nearly all of the firm's attorneys volunteer in community and civic organizations. The firm's staff employees also are actively involved in many church, youth, civic and community organizations. Our attorneys and staff serve at significant leadership levels in over 100 community and civic organizations in the areas of youth, education, health, religion, arts, civic and humanitarian services. Our contribution of professional and leadership skills enhances the capacity for strong performance of the many organizations we serve, and through them, we strive to have a positive impact upon communities throughout the state.
Our lawyers are frequent leaders of the Bar Associations, including President and officers of the Arkansas Bar Association and the Pulaski County Bar Association. We are often asked to provide programs at continuing legal education seminars for the benefit of members of the Bar Association and several of our attorneys are adjunct members of the faculty at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Law School. Through the Arkansas Bar Foundation, we provide scholarships for students at the state's law schools.
We are committed to making sure that the neediest citizens are entitled to adequate legal representation. Each year we provide financial support and the donation of free legal services to a variety of organizations, including the Volunteers Organization for Central Arkansas Legal Services (VOCALS).
